With the full illusion: Garin already has a rival for Roland Garros

Christian Garin (23rd) knows that this edition of Roland Garros is a great opportunity to show his progress on the circuit. The national tennis player learned today what will be his revaluation for the debut in the second Grand Slam it’s from the season. It is the Argentine Juan Ignacio Lóndero (100 °), with whom he is united by having shared a coach a couple of seasons ago.

Precisely when Garin was looking to make the jump to the top 100, he approached the Topo and his coach Andrés Schneiter, with whom they began to work after Wimbledon 2018. There, the Tanque came into being until it reached the top 20 in the world. Along the way, his training partner had to look for another coach after having become 50 in the world under the wing of the Gringo.

The current season has been quite bad for the trans-Andean, who has not passed a first round since last September, precisely from Roland Garros. However, his best results have been on clay.

To advance to the second phase, Garin will meet the winner of the clash between Finn Emil Ruusuvuori (74th) and a player from the rankings. An eventual third round could find him with Grigor Dimitrov (17 °), while in the round of the best 16 he could hit Daniil Medvedev, second seeded. Of course, the Russian makes his debut against the always complicated Alexander Bublik (37th).

The Roland Garros team also put Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer on the same side. That is, there will not be a final between any of the three. The Serbian, who is the first seed, makes his debut against American Tennys Sandgren (66th), while the 13-time champion in Paris will do so against Australian Alexei Popyrin (62nd). Meanwhile, the Swiss will start against a player from the qualy. Dominic Thiem, Nicolás Massú’s ward, It will be measured with the Spanish Pablo Andújar (68 °).

If you talk about classifications, Alejandro Tabilo (166 °) will play tomorrow, at 6.00 (Chilean time) his match for entry to the main draw against the Spanish Carlos Alcaraz (94 °). Whoever wins that match will play for the first time in the main draw of Roland Garros.
