After a great debut in the first stage of the British Rallycross Championship, where Robert Vitols won an unexpected victory in the Supercar class, on Monday the second stage failed in the final.

Robert had the second fastest time in training, but Vītols was the fastest in the first qualification. In the second qualification our athlete is the seventh place, but in the third – the fifth. In the total of three qualifications, Vītols took the high third place in the competition of ten riders with 126 points. Mark Donelie (137) and Derek Tohill (132) took the first two places.

In the first semi-final of the four-race competition, Vītols finished second, losing a second and a half to Roger Thomas. Meanwhile, in the second semi-final, the fastest was Andy Scott, a participant in the world and Europe RX, who was the only one of the three qualifiers to take part in the victory. Tohil, a member of the European RX, celebrated the victory in the exciting and contact-filled fight in the final, leaving Olija O`Donavan and Scotland behind. Unfortunately, Vītols did not succeed in the final trip as planned, because at the start the athlete’s “Citroen C4” Supercar’s car remained very slow and after one lap Vītols withdrew.
