Washington Football Team renews quarterback contract that studied mathematics in December

The good performance against Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the Wild Card paid off to Washington Football Team quarterback Taylor Heinicke. This Wednesday (10), the franchise of the capital of the United States announced the extension of Heinicke’s contract for two more seasons, with maturities of US $ 8.75 million (approximately R $ 47 million).

The player took over at Washington following Dwayne Haskins’ dismissal in December in week 16 of the regular season. A week later, Taylor Heinicke was responsible for commanding Washington’s attack on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and his performance – 26 passes completed in 44 attempts, 306 yards, a touchdown launched, another run, an interception and another 46 yards on the ground – ended up pleasing the team’s management even with the negative result.

– Everyone knows I was at home taking math classes (before joining Washington). So, this contact comes, it is a great relief. I’m really excited. This is the place I wanted to be, so everything worked out and I’m really happy to be back. I love the group we have here.

Taylor Heinicke started his career in the NFL in 2015 when he was hired as a free agent by the Minnesota Vikings. The quarterback also accumulates passes through the New England Patriots, Houston Texans and Carolina Panthers and the St. Louis BattleHawks, in the XFL.
