Children’s opening ceremony held Summer high school baseball regional tournament
Wakayama Prefecture Takano Ren (Chairman Kenji Nakamura) held the 2nd Steering Committee of the 103rd National High School Baseball Championship at the Prefectural Cultural Center in Wakayama City on the 28th, and decided the outline of the tournament.
The tournament starts on July 9th. The combination lottery is scheduled to start at 1:00 pm on June 19th at Wakayama Big Ai, and will be closed to the public to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection.
The tournament will be held at Kimiidera Park Baseball Stadium in Kemi, Wakayama City. If the schedule goes smoothly, the final will be held on July 26th. It is not possible to support with brass band because of the measures against the new corona. We are currently considering the format of the opening ceremony and whether or not to include the audience.
In addition, a “children’s opening ceremony” will be held to raise children’s interest in baseball. The target is 3rd to 6th grade elementary school students in the prefecture. It is scheduled to be held on the 10th, 11th, 17th, 18th, 21st, 22nd, 24th and 26th.
