TUS Feldbach Judo: Judokas in full contact again

Since May 19, the judokas of the TUS Feldbach have been training in full contact again. But currently still outdoors.

Since the Easter holidays, the Judo section of the TUS Feldbach has resumed training. “The long compulsory break is finally over and we are allowed to have an active club life again,” says chairwoman Carina Dirnbauer happily. Until May 19th, due to the many rules, the training went very differently than the judokas would like. Judo without full contact was a certain challenge for the six coaches of the club. In addition, the training is currently still taking place outdoors on the grounds of the Feldbach stadium. As a result, the two weekly units for the 34 active children and young people are also dependent on the weather.

Long break from competition
“Since May 19, we have been able to train in full contact as usual. Of course, with all applicable hygiene and safety regulations,” emphasizes Dirnbauer. New training equipment and aids add a lot of fun to the units. “Due to the long break from the competition, we didn’t have to start from scratch, but we had to start very far below,” emphasizes Dirnbauer. She hopes to be able to use the mats again soon indoors and at competitions.
