Among the nominees for the latter are clubs such as Holstebro Badminton Club and Glostrup Badminton Club, both of which have grown in number and have created good club environments that embrace both socially and sportingly.

Hjørring Badminton Club can also be found in the series of nominees for the Badminton Club of the Year award, among other things due to the North Jutland club’s influx with the Adult Feather concept, which has attracted several members from the nearby high schools and teacher education.

On the coaching front, there are also a nice handful of terrific and enterprising coaches in play for the Coach of the Year award. One of them is Birgitte Hindse from Nr. Broby Badminton Club, whose proactive efforts with the start-up and development of a true MiniTon success have been a gift for the Funen club. Also, her efforts to keep club activities going during the corona pandemic are among the reasons for her attitude.

Likewise, Kenneth Belling from Nakskov Badminton Club has been nominated for the award based on, among other things, his efforts to stack MiniTon on its feet in the club and be outreach in relation to engaging new players, which has resulted in a growing youth department. At the same time, he is praised for his wealth of ideas and for not being pale for taking an extra turn to please his players.

Not surprisingly, a number of the country’s numerous zealots have also received well-deserved roses in the setting of them. For example, it is said about Teis Nielsen from Valby Badminton Club that he “is almost all over” and “performs his duties as youth chairman formidably”. He does this, among other things, by arranging all kinds of social events such as quizzes, online banking and club trips, in addition to preparing training programs, training videos, school collaborations and much more.

Similarly, Haderslev Badminton Club’s Bo Beck Jørgensen, who is also nominated for Fiery Soul of the Year, is praised for always being ready, not only for “the big club” in the area, but for the benefit of all the clubs in the area. He attaches great importance to the collaboration with other clubs, and he has been a great driving force in the local area in relation to seeking funds for the benefit of the local clubs in the past, difficult year.
