After a year 2020 without sports activities due to the Covid-19 pandemic, in the municipality of La Tebaida progress is being made in the organization of Community Games, which will have recreational games, team sports, individual and cultural displays.
The event, which is in the phase of shaping the participating areas and communities, will have a Judo Festival, which will be chaired by the local athlete Juan Diego Infante Bethancourt, national champion of this discipline.
The 2021 Community Games will have sports activities in microfootball, basketball, chess, athletics, billiards, shuffleboard for men and mini-tournament for women, as well as recreational games such as dominoes, spinning top and frog.
The municipal administration of La Tebaida will make an investment of close to 50 million pesos for sports implementation, medals and judging.
It should be noted that the athletes who win in individual sports will classify to the departmental communal games, while the winners in the team sports will participate in a regional one where the departments of Antioquia, Caldas, Quindío and Risaralda are present.
