The construction management contract for the San Isidro Sports Center is awarded

The Local Government Board today approved the awarding of the contract for the provision of works management services, direction of material execution and health and safety coordination in the execution phase of the San Isidro Sports Center.

The San Isidro Sports Center is already closer to being a reality. The Local Government Board of Valencia has today accepted the proposal of the Contracting Board to award the contract for the management of works and the material execution of the San Isidro Sports Center to the company ARQUIMUNSURI SLP.

The contract, for a period of 12 months, has been awarded to the bidding company that has submitted the best offer, for a total amount of € 46,585. The deadline to participate in the bidding process closed on April 28 with three company proposals.

The Councilor for Sports, Pilar Bernabé, has shown her satisfaction “because the process is moving forward, we are taking another step so that the San Isidro neighborhood can finally enjoy a highly demanded sports center.” “These facilities will be, shortly, a reality and finally we will be able to give way to a historical vindication of this neighborhood, which needs a sports infrastructure like this,” added Bernabé.

TRACKS, FITNESS ROOM AND ROCÓDROME

The construction project of the San Isidro Sports Center includes the construction of a pavilion with a sports court for sports such as futsal, handball, basketball, indoor hockey, volleyball or badminton, among others. On the other hand, the facilities will also have a fitness room and a sports room.

In addition, the works will also lead to a climbing hall with a covered climbing wall, changing rooms and auxiliary spaces. The goal is for the performance, which will take place within 12 months, to be operational for the 2022-23 sports season.

This initiative aims to respond to an old claim by the San Isidro neighborhood, which demands the construction of a space that promotes active aging, with activities aimed at older people, as well as promoting sports associations among young people.
