7. Spanish triumphs
After the unattainable record of Rafa Nadal, with his 13 championships, the Spanish who have won Roland Garros the most times, three times, is Arantxa Sánchez Vicario (1989, 1994 and 1998). With two are Sergi Bruguera (1993 and 1994) and Manolo Santana (1961 and 1964); and with a title, Andrés Gimeno (1972), Carlos Moyá (1998), Albert Costa (2002), Juan Carlos Ferrero (2003) and Garbiñe Muguruza (2016).
