Andrea Pirlo started her coaching career in a very interesting way. He was first appointed coach of Team B of Juventus, but after the dismissal of Maurizio Sarri, he was promoted to Team A without any experience. But he only spent one season with it.
However, the Italian player legend did not live up to expectations in the first season. Under his leadership, Juventus was unable to win Serie A, which was the custom until then, as he had reigned Italy nine times in a row. The Old Lady did not go far in the Champions League either, as she lost to Porto in the round of 16. On the other hand, she won the first Coppa Italia, which is so far the only cup that Andrea Pirlo has won as a coach.
After one season with the A team, however, the legendary midfielder was removed from the position of head coach. He will be replaced by Massimilliano Allegri, who had already trained Juventus between 2014 and 2019. But Pirlo himself would not have to stay unemployed for long. He could continue in the top Italian league.
Sassuolo seems to be in charge of the services of the 2006 world champion and young coach. He is currently looking for a new coach and the favorite for this post is Pirlo. This is where the former Inter Milan player, AC Milan and Juventus should be able to continue his coaching career after one season with the Old Lady’s A team.
