Football

Nîmes: the fatal quarter of an hour. Against Reims (2-2)On Sunday, the Crocs still conceded a goal in the last quarter of an hour, 22nd out of 64, or more than 34% of the total. At home alone, it’s worse: Nîmes conceded to Costières 13 goals out of 31 (almost 42%!) Beyond the 76th minute, including 3 in added time.

Nîmes Olympique (2). Warned in Lens and ahead of Reims, crocodile striker Moussa Koné found himself under the threat of a third yellow card synonymous with suspension. The right side Sofiane Alakouch is in the same case.

Nîmes Olympique (3). This season, Nîmes and Reynet have kept their cages clean only 7 times, including 3 at Costières. The last clean sheet dates back to February 24 and the late match won 1-0 at Costières ahead of Lorient. During the 9 meetings which followed, series in progress, the crocodile team always conceded at least one goal (13 in total).

Nîmes Olympique (4). If Nîmes does not stay in L1, it will have to do so above all in its catastrophic first leg (12 points). Because on the return phase, the Crocs are not doing so badly: with 20 points garnered so far, they are in 13th place, just ahead of… Montpellier (19 points).

Compared to the teams concerned by the fight for maintenance, it is less good than Lorient (26 pts) and Saint-Etienne (23 pts) but it is much better than Strasbourg (18 pts), Nantes (17 pts), Brest (14 pts), Bordeaux (13 pts) and Dijon (4 pts).

His unavailability is evaluated at six months.

Volley-ball

Le Goff stays, Sclater leaves. Montpellier Castelnau Volley UC has confirmed that the French international Nicolas Le Goff, MVP of the season will still be Montpellier next season. On the other hand, the club meant the departure of the sharp Ryan Sclater.

Palacios and Mendez in selection. Ezequiel Palacios and Nicolas Mendez (who will no longer be Montpellier next season) have been selected for the Argentine national team to participate in the preparation of the Volley Nations League 2021.

Handball

Bonnefoi also celebrated his first selection for the Blues. At 29, Montpellier goalkeeper Kevin Bonnefoi celebrated his first selection for the France A team on Sunday against Greece, as did Nîmes Rémi Desbonnet and O’brian Nyateu or even Nantes Aymeric Minne and Théo Monar as well as the ‘Aixois Karl Konan.
