Non-repayable contributions to facilitate Smart working

The Region has created a new measure, managed by Finpiemonte through a dedicated fund, to support and strengthen the stipulation of agile or smart working contracts to support micro, small and medium-sized enterprises with operational headquarters in Piedmont. The total resources made available amount to 1 million euros: the call for assignment does not expire and will be open until the fund is exhausted.

One million for Smart work

“An important tool for our SMEs – commented the councilor for work Elena Chiorino – in which I believe and which I believe to be of fundamental importance both for workers but also for companies, to guarantee a flexible articulation in the times and places of the work. A concrete support also to lighten, through tax relief and important incentives, our companies already penalized by the devastating effects of the pandemic ”.

The question

Since May 24th, Piedmontese companies have been able to apply to receive the non-repayable grant intended for the realization of investments, purchase of hardware and software, customization of applications and integration with other company information systems, activation or adaptation of technical systems and necessary premises for the exercise of smart working activities. Alternatively, companies will be able to promote professional and managerial training courses for employees, directors and shareholders. However, the courses must be strictly functional to the exercise of the smart working activity and be provided by operators accredited by the Region.

“Smart working finally becomes a tool reachable not only by technological multinationals – commented the regional councilor Andrea Cane with whom the dialogue on the topic of agile work began a year and a half ago, in full lock down – but also for the numerous Piedmontese companies. “

With the spread of the pandemic and the need to contain the health emergency, companies have organized, where possible, the work of their employees remotely. This has led to a series of consequences both on an individual, social and environmental level, as well as the need for companies to review their work organization, while for workers, with particular attention to female workers, to facilitate the organization family also understood as family organization and childcare.

The regional measure therefore recognizes the importance of agile work within corporate welfare plans, aimed at guaranteeing organizational flexibility for companies and the possibility of reconciling the times of professional and family life for their employees.
