Joaquin Niemann had a great week again and finished in eighth place in the Valspar Championship, a contest that has been held since 2000 and where a South American has never been able to win.

The Chilean golfer finished on Sunday with a +1 and, considering all his performance in the tournament that takes place in the Innisbrock Resort & Golf Club from Palm Harbor, accumulated -9 that allowed him to get into the top 10 of the competition.

Niemann lagged behind the American Sam Burns (winner of the competition), Pat Bradley, Norwegian Viktor Hovland, Cameron Tringale, the Mexican Abraham Ancer, Vaughn Taylor Y Max Homa, sharing the eighth place with the South African Louis Oosthuizen Y Troy Merritt.

His performance in Tampa, Florida, allowed the national golfer to climb a position in the ranking for the FedEx Cup, going from 16th to 15th.
