The Jacksonville Jaguars are reportedly planning to award a one-year contract to former quarterback Tim Tebow, who will look to make a return to the NFL as a tight end.

According to what the NFL Network said on Monday, the agreement would be announced in the next week.
The 33-year-old played a pivotal role on a daily basis on the Goodell Tour for three seasons, in 2010 and 2011 with the Denver Broncos, as well as in 2012 with the New York Jets. He also attended training camps for the New England Patriots (2013) and Philadelphia Eagles (2015).
Tebow had his best moments in 2011, allowing the Colorado side to make the playoffs. In his career, he completed 47.9% of his passes for 2,422 yards and 17 touchdowns. The Philippines native also amassed 989 yards and 12 rushing majors.
After his failed attempt with the Eagles, Tebow decided to turn to baseball and signed a deal with the New York Mets. He played for the organization’s minor league clubs until 2020, having announced his retirement from baseball in February.
At the Jaguars, Tebow would reconnect with head coach Urban Meyer. The latter and the former quarterback have rubbed shoulders for four seasons with the University of Florida Gators. They also won a national championship together in 2008.
