Albert Pujols hit the 670th homer of his career in a Los Angeles Dodgers 5-4 loss to the San Francisco Giants.
The Dodgers trailed 5-2 in their last round at bat in the ninth inning. Pujols sent the ball over the fence for the eighth time this season. He closed the gap to one point, but Will Smith and Austin Barnes were subsequently called out.
It was the 1357th more than one hit in Pujols’ career, which saw him edging Babe Ruth for fourth in Major Baseball history.
