Milwaukee sprayed Miami again (113-84) Thursday night on the finalist’s floor from last season this time. The Bucks are one win away from qualifying, while the Heat are very close to the sweep. In the West, Denver and the Lakers took the lead in their respective series by winning for the second time in a row against Phoenix (109-95) and Portland (120-115).
Milwaukee has put it back on and here is the exit that is already approaching for Miami. As in the first two games, the defending vice-champion Heat had another fall against the Bucks (113-84) Thursday night in Game 3, this time in Florida. Author of a great start (26-14) on the court of last season’s finalist, the third of the regular season in the East did not even need a Giannis Antetokounmpo at the top of his art (the Greek still signed a double – double with 17 points and 17 rebounds) to once again pulverize Jimmy Butler (19 points) and his teammates, who now find themselves in a loss of what is called a sweep (4-0) in American sports jargon. Denver and the Lakers take control
The leaders are fighting back! Both led after match 1, Denver and the Lakers took control and home-field advantage for the first named Thursday night after their second straight win, respectively, against Phoenix at Staples Center (109-95) and Portland at the Blazers ( 120-115). After a difficult start (28-27 for the visitors at the end of the first quarter), the reigning champions, for their first home game in the play-offs in eight years, accelerated behind their two superstars Anthony Davis (34 points, 11 rebounds), the first player in the franchise to compile two games in a row with at least 30 points and 10 rebounds, and LeBron James (21 points, 9 assists, 6 rebounds) as his other strongman of the moment Dennis Schröder, still capital in this victory of the Californians with in particular 20 points scored 6 of 11 in shots. Up front, only Deandre Ayton (22 points, 11 rebounds) resisted, but to no avail.

On the Portland side, Denver didn’t wait for the second quarter to change gears. Immediately a pitch above the awkward Blazers all night on long shots (14 of 45) despite Damian Lillard’s new XXL copy (37 points to 15 of 31 shooting), The Nuggets led the race, with the inevitable Nikola Jokic (36 points on 12 of 23 shots and 4 of 7 3s, 10 rebounds, 5 assists) to lead the dance alongside an Austin Rivers who was also very inspired (21 points). It was necessary because the West’s sixth of the regular season tied the game in the second half with Denver, ultimately missing just five lengths of these Nuggets who took control before reclaiming the Oregon franchise in two days.
