In the Italian MotoGP 2021, Marc Marquez fell. With his physical condition, and the fact that it is his second consecutive crash, how will his participation in the Catalunya MotoGP at the weekend?
Marc Marquez fell in the early laps of the 2021 Italian MotoGP race on Sunday (30/5) yesterday. The Repsol Honda rider was unable to continue racing, as he also experienced at the LeMans French MotoGP in the previous racing series.
Crash at Mugello, it also raises his own concerns regarding his physical condition. After the crash at Jerez in MotoGP 2020 last year, Marc Marquez practically missed the whole last season and the two series earlier this season.
When he returned to the track in the third series of MotoGP 2021, with his physical condition not yet excellent, Marc Marquez was immediately able to give a positive indication by finishing seventh and ninth in the two series. But that result was followed by a pair of consecutive crashes, including at Mugello yesterday.
With the Catalunya MotoGP taking place immediately this weekend, is Marc Marquez fit enough to act in the seventh series of MotoGP 2021?
“Yes, I will be in Barcelona to race,” said Marc Marquez dismissing speculation, as reported Motosan.
“I did not fall badly,” continued the winner of six MotoGP world championships, referring to the moment he crashed in the Italian MotoGP in 2021.
“I stay in the middle of the circuit and it is not comfortable, but we will be able to appear more competitive at Montmelo.”
The Catalunya MotoGP will be held on 6 June at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Montmelo. In the main MotoGP class, Marc Marquez has won twice there, namely in 2014 and 2019.
