Fourteen days of intense tour of the Southern Cone of the American continent, visiting countries such as Peru and Ecuador, where she collected four medals, one gold and three bronze, the Baja Californian Kassandra Espinoza returned happy and content to have contributed significantly to the successes. sports achieved by the Mexican Judo Team.

Upon her arrival in this city, she arrived directly at what for more than a year and a half has become her second home, the Villa Atltica del Centro de Alto Redamientos (CAR) in Tijuana, where she was received with great fanfare by her coach Manuel Antonio Reyes Pando, as Kassandra is also celebrating her first 20 years of life this month.

An international tour that has undoubtedly been the most important in the successful career of this young athlete born in the port of Ensenada, which allows her to remain among the three best in the Junior Pan American ranking within her category of -48 kilos, and 135 Worldwide.

The judoka left on May 9 for Mexico City and from there she traveled to Lima, Peru, where the Junior Pan American Cup was held, winning the gold medal against another Mexican Ana Toy, from Tamaulipas, in the division of less than forty-eight kilos, and in the Senior division he obtained the bronze.

Then came the Junior Pan American Cup in Guayaquil, Ecuador, on May 17, to get on the podium in third place in its category, and repeat in the Senior where she competed with athletes who surpass her in age and experience, but she was not afraid of that. Kassandra and slipped into the medal table to take bronze.

Only the work and its results speak for themselves of the tremendous preparation of Kassandra, this was a new experience that I had, a Pan-American tour had never been presented to me, and the truth was a very beautiful experience, I think the goal was achieved for the one we were called up for, said the multi-medalist.

Without a doubt the gold medal is the one that leaves her satisfied the most, I think that being in another country and listening to the Mexican national anthem is the most beautiful thing you can experience as an athlete.

KASSANDRA AWAKENING
For his part, coach Manuel Reyes, stressed that we are satisfied with his achievements, we have corrected some things after an injury, and I consider that having been on the podium for the first time in the Senior category, speaks of what we are facing. call the awakening of Kassandra.

Consider that there is a clear growth of Kassandra as an athlete, in a very strong division in the area, we now have the Pan American Championship, the last tournament that gives points for the ranking, and we have the Conade Nationals, in Nuevo Len, who will be his goodbye to your category, to enter the first force.

I took this opportunity to thank the support received from the Baja California Institute of Sports and Physical Culture for all its worth so that Kassandra can fulfill all her sports commitments.
