For the second time in his career, Zidan is leaving the position of Real Madrid coach / Article

For the second time in his coaching career, the experienced Zinedin Zidan has said goodbye to the Spanish club Real in Madrid, the BBC reported on Thursday. The successful Madrid Club was left without titles in the 2020/2021 season, both in Spain and internationally.

Real Madrid said it would respect 48-year-old Zidana’s decision and thanked him for what he had done in the past.

For the first time, Madrid’s “Real” team was in the hands of former French national team striker Zidana from 2016 to 2018, when the team under his leadership won the Champions League for three consecutive seasons. He left the position in May 2018, but returned 10 months later and took Real Madrid to the laurels of the Spanish champions the previous season.

From 2001 to 2006, Zidan was a Real Madrid footballer.

Just like in the final season, Real Madrid players were second in the Spanish league, in the Champions League in the semifinals against Chelsea, but in the Spanish Cup they failed at the beginning of the tournament against the third league club Alcoyano.

Under a contract with Real Madrid, Zidan would have to lead the team for another year. He is the only coach under whose leadership the team has won the Champions League three times.
