The referee of the semi-final second leg of the Champions League between Manchester City and Paris SG, Björn Kuipers, has allegedly insulted Parisian players, said Ander Herrera and Marco Verratti.
“I would like to say something: we talk about respect with the referees, but he said: ‘Fuck off’ to Leandro Paredes. We if we say that, we have a penalty of three or four matches, ”confirmed the Spanish midfielder of PSG Ander Herrera at the microphone of RMC Sport. “I too heard him, he told me: ‘Fuck you'”, echoed Marco Verratti on the channel broadcasting the match. “If I say that, I’ll take ten matches.”
The meeting was chopped once Manchester City broke away, leading 2-0 and ensuring their qualification, after their victory (2-1) in Paris in the first leg. Angel Di Maria was sent off in the 69th minute for a Fernandinho kick. Paris SG also received four warnings, for Herrera (22nd), Verratti (71st), Presnel Kimpembe (87th) and Danilo Pereira (89th).
