Léa Palermo and Julien Maio reached the semi-final of the Danisa Denmark Open badminton. This new French mixed pair, also a couple in the city, played their first Super 750 together. After beating the Magee siblings, No.32, in the quarter-finals, they clashed with England pair Chris and Gabrielle Adcock, No.13. The first set quickly fell into the hands of the British (12/21). Léa Palermo and Julien Maio hung on in the second set, but failed to overthrow their opponent and lost 22/20.
This semi-final of this mixed pair is the best result for the French at this Danisa Denmark Open badminton, the first international competition since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.
