If several big movements have taken place in recent weeks before the draft, the evening of the 1st round was relatively calm with only three exchanges recorded and none carried out in the 2nd night game.
Here is a small summary of the transactions carried out.
Exchanges during the draft night
Choix 10 – Devonta Smith (Eagles via Cowboys) : to go up to 10, Philadelphia offered their rival the 82 pick of the 3rd round with the 12 pick.
Choix 11 – Justin Fields (Bears via Giants) : To acquire New York’s 11th pick, Chicago sends the 20th pick and 164th pick 2021, as well as a first round 2022 and a 4th round 2022.
Choix 14 – Alijah Vera-Tucker (Jets via Vikings) : Minnesota sends pick 14 and pick 143 against the Jets’ 23, 66 and 86.
Exchanges prior to April 29, 2021
Choix 3 – Trey Lance (49ers, via Dolphins, via Texans) : after recovering the Texans’ choice in the exchange of Laremy Tunsil in 2019, the Dolphins traded the 3rd pick with the 49ers in exchange for their 12th choice, a 3rd round 2021 and a 1st round 2022 and 2023.
Choix 6 – Jaylen Waddle (Dolphins via Eagles) : the Eagles traded their 6th pick with the Dolphins for their 12th pick and a 2022 1st round
Choix 12 – Micah Parson (Cowboys, via Eagles, via Dolphins, via 49ers) : initially in San Francisco, the choice goes first to the Eagles after the double trade above, then arrives in Dallas with the trade of the day of the Draft which allowed Philadelphia to go up for Devonta Smith.
Choix 23 – Christian Darrisaw (Vikings, via Jets, via Seahawks) : The Jets first recovered this choice following the exchange of Jamal Adams before the start of the 2020 season. The choice then goes to Minnesota thanks to the exchange that allowed New York to rise for Alijah Vera-Tucker.
Choice 25 – Travis Etienne (Jaguars via Rams) : the Jaguars have recovered this choice following the exchange of Jalen Ramsey during the 2019 season
Choix 31 – Jayson Oweh (Ravens via Chiefs) : the Ravens have recovered this choice following the Orlando Brown exchange a few days before the draft
