Cologne captain Jonas Hector bursts the collar on TV

After the narrow defeat against Kiel, it is becoming increasingly unlikely that Cologne will stay in the Bundesliga. Captain Jonas Hector was already extremely tense on the field – and then came a certain reporter question.

Jonas Hector got really angry after the defeat in the first leg of the Bundesliga relegation against Holstein Kiel. The captain of 1. FC Köln angrily tore the captain’s armband off his arm after the final whistle and cursed loudly.

In the subsequent TV interview with DAZN, he finally broke the collar. “What should I let off steam here”, Hector snapped after the bitter 0: 1 (0: 0), “always these shitty questions!”

The reporter had previously asked what he was like and whether he was “empty” inside. And that was exactly what made Hector white-hot. “They’re good at asking stupid questions,” said Hector and then made it clear: “I’m not empty.”

A few seconds later, the 30-year-old had calmed down to some extent and stated in a typical footballer speech: “A draw would have been deserved.” In the end, however, things turned out differently, so that on Saturday (from 6 p.m. in the live ticker of t-online) the FC needed at least two hits in the decisive game in Kiel in order to be able to stay in the league.
