The Spanish Clara Azurmendi confirmed this Sunday her status as the first seed of the Austrian Badminton Open and was proclaimed champion by convincingly defeating the French Yaelle Hoyaux by 21-6 and 21-14 in 23 minutes of play.
Azurmendi, who had defeated the gala the two previous times in which they had met, scored the first game in 8 minutes by a rigorous 21-6 and the second by 21-14 to defeat Hoyaux.
