For the blue colors comes a new important satisfaction. In fact, at the 2021 European shooting gallery taking place in Osijek, the junior women’s rifle team 3 positions from the distance of 50m takes the gold.
The trio formed by Sofia Benetti, Virginia Lepri and Paola Paravati overcame the competition of all the formations at the start putting Switzerland behind them, beaten in the final head-to-head with the score of 48-36, and the Czech Republic, able to take the bronze with a score of 49-35 over Serbia.
“I am happy that after so many medals even the junior rifle athletes have had the opportunity to shine and show their talent” – commented UITS Extraordinary Commissioner Igino Rugiero. “Congratulations to you for this splendid result that comes after a lot of work on the shooting lines”.
In the other scheduled race, however, Russia won gold and silver in the Mixed Team contest of junior automatic pistol for 25m teams by putting themselves.
