The Spanish Beatriz Corrales and Clara Azurmendi qualified this Saturday for the quarterfinals of the Austrian Badminton Open, after defeating the Swiss Jenjira Stadelmann and the Hungarian Vivien Sandhorhazi, respectively.
Corrales, eighth favorite, was the first to secure a place in the quarterfinals, beating Stadelmann in 35 minutes by 18-21 and 17-21, and Azurmendi, first seed, did the same minutes later against the Hungarian Vivien Sandorhazi, whom he won 21-10 23-21 in less than half an hour.
