There will still be one purely English footballer on Bayern Munich’s roster, although Jamal Musiala recently rejected the opportunity to represent Albion at the senior level and preferred the German national team. The Bavarian team today confirmed the arrival of 23-year-old defender Omar Richards from Reading, who signed a four-year contract …
Richards comes for free, his contract in the second-league English team has expired and he agreed with Bayern in February, according to the German media, and a few weeks later he underwent a medical examination.
“We are pleased that Omar has chosen FC Bayern,” sports director Hasan Salihamidžić rejoices.
“Omar is technically a quality player in the position of the left defender. Towards the offensive he can find the right solutions, he is attentive and we believe that he will play an important role in our team.” added.
Richards has spent his entire career in Reading and joined the first team in the 2017/2018 season. He played a total of 82 matches in the League Championship.
