Badminton. Interclubs: the white season formalized – Badminton

Like last season, the 2020-2021 fiscal year will leave no trace in the French badminton archives. Stopped after only two days, due to sanitary conditions in the country, the interclubs will not trigger any ascent or descent, according to the press release from the French Badminton Federation (FFBaD) published on Monday.

“As of September 1, 2021, there will be no ascent or descent in relation to the divisions published on September 1, 2020. The 2021/2022 season will therefore include all the pools made up for the 2020/2021 season (subject to re-registration of all the teams) as well as their order ”, indicates the FFBaD, which announces that“ no registration fees will be requested from teams re-registering for the French interclub championship for the 2021/2022 season, which thus benefit from a credit. Clubs that do not re-register will be reimbursed. The selected clubs will have to pay the registration fee or the supplement if applicable ”.

The France Elite in Besançon

With regard to regional and departmental interclubs, the press release signed by the new president of the Federation, Yohan Penel, stipulates that “the decentralized bodies of the FFBaD (leagues and committees) have full latitude to manage their respective interclub championships: decisions relating to the 2020/2021 season; regulations for the 2021/2022 season and constitution of pools ”.

The Federation takes the opportunity to announce that the 2021 French “Elite” championships, which were to be held in Boulazac (Dordogne) in February and then were postponed to June before a new postponement due to current uncertainties, will finally be held from 3 to 6 November 2021 in Besançon (Doubs). The 2022 French Elite Championships will be held in Boulazac from February 3 to 6, 2022.
In addition, the 2021 French youth championships will take place from November 11 to 14, 2021 in Mulhouse (Haut-Rhin).

Finally, the 2021 French veteran championships will take place from 12 to 14 November 2021 in Annemasse (Haute-Savoie), and the 2021 French para-badminton championships are held in Carquefou (Loire-Atlantique) from 2 to 4 July 2021, under reserve that the incidence rate in Loire Atlantique remains below the government threshold.
