With his quarter-final victory on Thursday against the Argentine Federico Coria, Djokovic took fifth place in the “eternal” ranking of the ATP for the most victories in the Open Era (from 1968). The 6: 1, 6: 0 was his 952nd success on the tour, displacing the Argentine Guillermo Vilas to sixth.
The ranking is led by Jimmy Connors (USA), who brought it to 1274 victories. Followed by Roger Federer (Switzerland / 1243), Ivan Lendl (USA / 1068) and Rafael Nadal (Spain / 1022).
