After two postponements, the first edition of the Châteaux en Fête event will take place from May 29 to June 13, 2021. For two weeks, 60 Perigord castles, manors and estates and around twenty in Lot-et-Garonne will offer many activities around gastronomy, theater, music, crafts and games.
60 castles to discover differently
Bourdeilles, Hautefort, Campagne, Fayolle, Losse, Nanthiat, Commarque, Nontron and many others: in all 60 Périgord châteaux are participating in the Châteaux en Fête operation. To this, we must add 20 buildings in Lot-et-Garonne and one in Haute-Vienne (Châlus-Chabrol).
For two weeks, they will offer visitors, tourists or locals lots of activities such as treasure hunts, tastings, archery, exhibitions, shows, meals. At the Château de Losse, the teams will organize several activities around their stables and in particular pony rides but also the exploration of the underground passages of this Renaissance castle. The castle of Saint-Aulaye will offer Geocaching, the repais Noble le Fournel, for its part, will organize a tasting of chestnut beers when the castle of Puymartin in Sarlat-la-Canéda promises chills with its game. “The mystery of the White Lady”.
