A child doing sports is one less victim of addictions and crime: Enrique Galindo

He promised to popularize the sport, in the sense of taking it to each colony, delegation and neighborhood of the capital.

That child or adolescent who is swimming, who has a ball, who does gymnastics, who plays baseball, is a child that we are shielding against addiction and crime, said the candidate for mayor of San Luis Potosí in front of hundreds of athletes. for the PRI-PAN-PRD-PCP parties, Enrique Galindo Ceballos.

In an event headed by the candidate for governor, Octavio Pedroza Gaitán, and attended by businessmen and promoters of high-performance sports, as well as sports figures such as Paola Longoria López, multi-racquetball champion and Sabrina SolisMartínez; selected for badminton from Potosí, the candidate of the Yes for San Luis Potosí coalition promised to make sport a benchmark for his government.

He regretted that most citizens are unaware that the municipality has a sports area that, although it is currently lost, has to be rescued and promoted.

He assured that, in Enrique Galindo, athletes will have an ally who will seek to retain local talent through financing, creation of sports units and implementation of sports programs.

Likewise, he emphasized that his interest goes further, since one of his ideas on the matter is to popularize sport in the sense of taking it to the colonies, neighborhoods, delegations, to every corner of the capital. “We want San Luis to return to being the sports power that it was and that historically we feel proud again.”

Also present at the event were sports legends such as the goalkeeper, José Pilar Reyes and the players Carlos Muñoz and Víctor “Harlem” Medina; Victor Mariscal, icon of the Santos de San Luis Basketball team; presidents and representatives of sports associations, Paralympic athletes and in wheelchairs; the Buffalos, Potros and Centuriones football teams; ESPN sportscaster Mauricio Pedroza (remote); and as special guests, Senators Xóchitl Gálvez and Josefina Vázquez Mota.
