2022 is right there! The best prospects in the cornerback position at College Football

With the end of Draft de 2021, some fans were not completely satisfied with the additions to their team and feel that some positions can still be improved. For this, there are three options – reinforce with athletes still available at the Free Agency, make an exchange (hello, Green Bay Packers!) or wait a year for the next Draft with new talent coming from the university circuit.

Draft is an excellent strategy to build your team, as the contracts are not as heavy as for a consolidated star, with you being able to have a player who produces beyond what he is receiving for four or five years. The NFL teams are already starting the groundwork, combing the main talents that will be available.

Cornerback: With the league tending to be increasingly focused on aerial play, the position gained immense attention in Draft. The best talent flies off the board quickly. And this scenario should be repeated in 2022

Derek Stingley – LSU: A phenomenon since his freshman year, always lining up against his rival’s best wide receivers and winning most of his duels. Stingley will quit college after three years and be a first-round pick, with great chances for top-15. This scenario will not be realized only in the event of a tragedy.

Kaiir Elam – Florida: CB comes from two gold strains. The first is the familiar one. Matt Elam’s nephew and son of Abe Elam, players who played in the NFL. The second is the defensive backs of the Gators, a real factory for training excellent players in position. With a rare combination of speed, size and fluidity, Elam is another with a first round stamped on his forehead.

Andrew Booth Jr. – Clemson: The master of highlights, with one-handed or acrobatic interceptions. Booth is Clemson’s highest-rated defensive player for the next Draft. Leading the Tigers’ secondary and continuing to explode the internet with athletically impressive moves is the perfect combo to be a high choice in the NFL Draft.

Allie Green IV – Transfer Portal: An impressive athlete, with an elite size for the position, and who physically dominated Tylan Wallace last season in the confrontation between Tulsa and Oklahoma State. Green announced that he will move from Tulsa, aiming for greater exposure to his dream of reaching the NFL.

Derion Kendrick – Transfer Portal: On the field, an elite talent. Outside of him, a troubled young man. Kendrick has to put his life in place first for the NFL to see him as a talent to be drafted in the top 100. To do so, you’ll need a perfect year – on and off the pitch.

Honorable mention: Tiawan Mullen (Indiana); Trent McDuffie (Washington); Ahmad Gardner (Cincinnati); Roger McCreary (Auburn); Tre´Vius Hodges-Tomlison (TCU).
