On Monday, the Latvian hockey team will go to the test matches with Slovakia with 26 hockey players

The test match will be held in Piestany under the leadership of coaches Artis Abols, Raimonds Vilkoits and Edgars Masalsks.

Kaspars Daugaviņš has been appointed the team captain.

The test games will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, with both games broadcast live on LTV7.

In the first two test matches, the Latvian national team won the Latvian U-18 national team (6: 1, 5: 1) on April 9 and 14, helping it prepare for the U-18 World Championship in the USA.

Before the World Championship, the Latvian national team will play four more test games. On April 20 and 21, the guests will have to meet with the Slovak national team, and on May 14 and 15, they will meet with Switzerland.

The 2021 World Championship is scheduled for May 21 to June 6. It was previously planned that the championship would start on May 7, but it was postponed a couple of weeks ahead because the national championships in Europe could be delayed.
