After the 0-1 defeat against Beerschot, Brys noted that key players Mercier, Sowah and Henry no longer show “the pure form they have been displaying for a long time.” And he added, “Maybe transferitis was also playing in some minds.”

Onderhandelingen

En de krant stelt dat er zondagavond laat nog altijd onderhandeld werd met de Turkse topclub. Dat wil zeggen dat OHL wel degelijk openstaat voor een vertrek van zijn topschutter. Al had Marc Brys dat nog niet meteen door: “Ik denk niet dat OHL zo laat in de transferperiode nog zal meewerken aan het vertrek van een belangrijke speler.” Vergeefse hoop?
