Mazatlan. The Dominican Republic’s Águilas Cibaeñas claimed their first title defense victory in the Caribbean Series, beating Puerto Ricans Criollos de Caguas 5-1, while Federales de Chiriquí of Panama defeated Caribbean d ‘ Anzoátegui from Venezuela.

The Dominicans had a lit bat from Juan Lagares, who hit a home run in the third inning with two men on base to turn the scoreboard (3-1).
