The club stopped due to the health crisis

Judo is sounding the alarm

No competition has been able to take place for a year now and therefore no income.

The refreshments set up during these tournaments but also the barbecue and the afternoon games, are lacking in the treasurer of the judo club of Dun-sur-Auron who, nevertheless, tried to innovate with muscular sessions on a video platform.

“But now, with ten followers of the eighty licensees, we see that playing sports in front of your TV is not very exciting”, underlines the instructor, Lætitia Bollery. However, the latter wants to be confident. “We all want it to resume quickly and I am sure that the return will be en masse on the tatami mats because the damage in terms of mental health is considerable”, specifies the one which also involves patients from the local hospital center George Sand.

The president of the Dunois club, Delphine Moreau, is worried about her instructor. “With a semblance of recovery last summer, outdoors, we were able to provide for our instructor who, since, can no longer, either, work with schools. There, I can no longer commission her via Cher emploi. She will have to go through partial unemployment but that is not everything ”.

Do not miss
recovery

This is why the president and judo instructor recently met Louis Cosyns, the mayor of the town. “We wanted above all to convey the message that we will have to be ready as soon as the recovery takes place with, mainly, the opening of theaters so that we do not have a leak of our licensees to other structures . And all the more so as we are going to look at the contributions of our members for a license that they have hardly used ”, they conclude.

There is, however, a Dunoise who can still practice her favorite sport, certainly only in training: the champion Mathilde Moreau, in sports studies from Clermont-Ferrand (Puy-de-Dôme).
