Nippon Ham (Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture) announced on February 1 that it has received five stars in the DBJ Green Building certification system at the new stadium “ES CON FIELD HOKKAIDO” under construction in Hokkaido. In addition, the company will issue the company’s first sustainability bond with the use of funds for the construction of a new stadium and refinancing. The issue amount is 10 billion yen, and the issue date is scheduled for February.
DBJ Green Building certification is a certification system established in 2011 as an initiative to support real estate that has been “environmentally and socially friendly” by the Development Bank of Japan and businesses that own and operate the real estate. Five-star awards are given only to the top 10 properties that exceed the certification level.
