With 27 points, ten rebounds and ten assists, King James once again put a triple-double on the floor. Incidentally, he was the first player in NBA history to reach the magic mark of 800 games with at least 25 points each.

But not only the performance of the superstar, also Dennis Schröder’s performance was more than impressive. The German contributed 21 points to the victory of his franchise, only two of his 16 throws missed the target. In addition, the point guard was a useful helper on the defensive.

At the Nuggets, however, superstar Nikola Jokic did not get a chance as usual. After several fouls, he took a seat on the bench and only had 13 points. The best thrower was Jamal Murray with 20 points. The German Isaiah Hartenstein scored three points in ten minutes.

The Lakers laid the foundation for the victory especially in the third quarter, which they dominated with 37:17. With 17 wins and six defeats, the Lakers are in third place in the west, the Nuggets are one place behind with a balance of 12: 9. (Tables of the NBA)

Mavs lose to the Warriors

Meanwhile, there was a bitter bankruptcy for the Dallas Mavericks. With the really last squad (Wiseman, Looney, Chriss and Paschall dropped out at short notice) and only nine available players, the Golden State Warriors had arrived – and still won triumphantly with 147: 116.

Because four other players also scored double-digit points, it was easily enough to win against the Mavs, in which Luka Doncic (27 points), Kristaps Porzingis (25 points), Tim Hardaway Jr. (19 points) and Jalen Brunson (18 points) for decent numbers ensured.

The rest didn’t even come close to a double-digit score, which in the end made all the difference. Maxi Kleber had two points and seven rebounds.

With only nine wins and 14 defeats, the Mavs are penultimate in the west, while the Warriors are seventh with a record of 12:10.
