Despite millions of losses, there was no breach of financial fair play

Note that Anderlecht recorded a negative result of almost 35 million euros. The eighteen 1A and three 1G clubs (Union, Westerlo and Lommel) recorded a combined loss of € 53.6million last season. This is an improvement over the previous year – where the total loss was almost $ 88 million. While during the 2018-2019 season, five clubs had obtained a positive result, this time they are six.

If the total loss is less, it is mainly due to two clubs. Genk is the first (29 million euros), followed by Club Brugge (24.2). Charleroi (5.4), Ostend (2.6), FC Mechelen (436,000 euros) and Waasland-Beveren (340,000) also remained in the green.

At the other end of the spectrum, Anderlecht is still the worst student in the class with a loss of 34.9 million, followed by Antwerp (14.9) and Oud-Heverlee Louvain (14.3). This trio was also at the bottom of the ranking in the previous License Commission report.
