Fajar Alfian / M. Rian Ardianto managed to advance to the second round of Yonex Thailand Open 2021 after defeating Nitiphon Phuangphuapet / Tanupat Viriyangkura.

INDOSPORT.COM – Fajar Alfian / M. Rian Ardianto managed to advance to the second round of the Yonex Thailand Open 2021 after defeating Nitiphon Phuangphuapet / Tanupat Viriyangkura on Tuesday (12/01/21) in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Fajar / Rian pair opened the first game with a slow rhythm, making them lag behind the Thai pair by a score of 1-5. Do not want to continue to fall behind the representatives of Indonesia trying to get up slowly.

In the third game, the Fajar / Rian pair again lost their momentum of victory in the second game after being bothered by Thailand’s representatives again. Evidently, Indonesia’s representatives were 4-6 behind the Nitiphon / Phuangphuapet pair.

Not wanting to continue to fall behind, the Fajar / Rian pair managed to equalize to 9-9, before finally being cornered by Thailand’s representatives with a score of 10-11 in the third game interval.

After the third game interval, the Fajar / Rian pair, who were initially left behind, finally managed to equalize to 18-18 against the Nitiphon / Phuangphuapet pair.

After almost being cornered, Indonesia’s representatives managed to equalize to 20-20 against Thailand’s representatives to force the match to continue to the deuce round.

Not wanting to linger, Fajar / Rian finally ended the third game with a score of 22-20 over the world number 128 pair Nitiphon / Phuangphuapet to lock up tickets to the second round of Yonex Thailand Open 2021 and will face Leo Rolly Carnando / Daniel Marthin.
