The Falcons have found their man

football/nfl/story">

The Atlanta Falcons have hired Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Arthur Smith as their head coach.

The NFL club made the announcement on its Twitter account on Friday afternoon.

Smith had worked for the Titans since the 2011 campaign and had been in charge of their offense since 2019. With the formation of Tennessee, he notably allowed quarterback Ryan Tannehill to breathe new life into his career and running back Derrick Henry to become one of the best players in his role in the Goodell circuit.

Smith will therefore replace Dan Quinn. The latter was fired along with general manager Thomas Dimitroff on Oct. 11, when Atlanta was 0-5.

Raheem Morris took over, but he did not do enough to get the full-time job. The Falcons ended their last campaign with a 4-12 record.
