In view of the first games, it’s a new season of galley and tanking that still awaits the Pistons. Time goes by and it does not work in Derrick Rose’s favor. The 2011 MVP still wants a ring and these 5 franchises should help him achieve that should he ever get traded.
5. Utah Jazz
Derrick Rose does not necessarily have good memories of his time at Jazz, since he did not even have time to land in Salt Lake City that the franchise had already cut him off in 2018. But this time the situation has changed and D-Rose could have his place on the bench as Mike Conley’s backup playmaker.
4. Portland Trail Blazers
Coming up against Damian Lillard is no picnic for the Blazers’ opponents. It could get even less fun with Derrick Rose to replace him if the 2011 MVP continues at the same pace. He might even offer a minimum of defensive help, that wouldn’t be too much in Portland these days.
3. Brooklyn Nets
The serious injury of Spencer Dinwiddie came to thwart the plans of the Nets badly. D-Rose would be an ideal candidate to take his place and ensure the rear of the two superstars of the team coming off the bench.
2. Boston Celtics
The position of leader is a bit under construction at the Celtics. Kemba Walker is the undisputed holder but he finds himself stuck in the infirmary for the moment, with a fairly light bench behind him to replace him. A player like Derrick Rose wouldn’t hurt the team to balance Position 1.
1. Los Angeles Clippers
The two leaders of the team, Patrick Beverley and Lou Williams had found themselves in a lot of rumors this fall in view of their contract expiring at the end of the season. In addition, a playmaker clearly seemed to be welcome in the squad. All of these conditions make D-Rose a potential candidate to follow.
Derrick Rose is only 32 years old and still a few years ahead of him presumably in the NBA, but it is clear that he has little chance of winning the title he so covets in Detroit. By remaining consistent in his performance, perhaps he will manage to catch the eye of a real contender.
