Svetliza: “The idea is to resurface, to put Coln back at the basketball level in the foreground” | Argentina League

Sebastin Svetliza chatted with Pick & Roll about his presence in Coln and the club’s project

“What most attracted me to the project is the possibility of managing fairly. I love management, I spent a lot of time learning, training myself. The possibility of contributing anything to an institution that is already large in its own right and wants to play basketball. Columbus in a privileged place as it was many years ago ”

“A project that basically, and this is what most seduced me, that is sustainable over time, where we work not only in the Argentine League or National League, but also in training basketball. To be an example of structure, in training, in the type of work, leaving a mark and in social basketball, those are our three pillars within the project ”

Svetliza commented on Coln as an institution and his present to face the Argentine League

“The Colón institution is a very large club at the National level. Although it is related to football, it has a very rich history at the basketball level. The idea is to resurface, to put Coln back at the basketball level in the foreground. a lot to grow, it has an incredible infrastructure, with a lot of potential and for its growth ”

“It is in a strategic point of the city, which will allow the influx of the public when there is one, but also that many boys and young people will return to the Colón basketball when they get to know our program. We are growing, the idea is to gradually grow at an institutional, professional and sports level. All at the same time as it always takes us at a steady pace “

The manager of the sabalero referred to the team and the pretentions for the season

“We have practically closed the team, we are happy. The idea was to seek a bit of representation, we have some players from Santa Fe, 90% of the minor players are from Santa Fe. The coach is deeply rooted in the city, although It’s been skipping five years since he’s based in Santa Fe and he has a very good history with basketball here.

“Those who are not from Santa Fe are from Paran or Rosario. We are very happy, we believe that the idea is to build a competitive team that we build so that in future seasons we can have our own base. Happy with that, compete in this first season , try to qualify for the playoffs and then see what happens as the series go by ”
