[Sport] Football League: Ethève retains his throne

Unsurprisingly, Yves Ethève was reelected this Sunday morning at the head of the Reunion Football League. With 88.48 of the votes, he is ahead of his only rival Alex Augustine.

One more mandate. The tenth. President since 1983, Yves Ethève, who was only removed from the throne between 2014 and 2016, retains his crown at the top of pei football. The election which was held this morning at the Plaine des Cafres, saw the 74-year-old entrepreneur and his list being voted 88.48% against Alex Augustine, the only opponent following the disqualification of Noël Vidot.

At the end of this new quadrennium which could be his last, Ethève will have achieved the impressive longevity of 40 years of reign, a feat never achieved by any league president in France.
