Solskjaer replied to Klopp, who was jealous of MU, and got many penalties

Manchester

Juergen Klopp admits that he is jealous of Manchester United for many penalties under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Klopp’s statement is now being responded to by Solskjaer.

Klopp was furious that Liverpool did not receive a penalty when they lost 0-1 to Southampton at St Mary’s, Tuesday (5/1/2021) in the early hours of the Premier League. There are two incidents highlighted by Klopp in which the Reds should have been awarded the white point.

The two incidents were when Jack Stephen handball and when Sadio Mane fell due to a duel with Kyle Walker-Peters. Klopp, who was so disappointed with the referee’s decision, also offended Manchester United, which he thought was easier to get a penalty than Liverpool.

Klopp claims United have been awarded more penalties in the two years under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer than Liverpool have over the past 5.5 years in his career. Solskjaer has now responded to Klopp’s accusation.

The manager from Norway insisted he would not take care of other team’s penalties. Although, he did not deny that MU did get many penalties.

“And it may be a fact. That might be my answer. The fact that we do have more penalties than them,” said Solskjaer. Sky Sports.

“I don’t know how many penalties they have. I don’t count how many penalties they have.”

“So, if they want to spend time worrying about when we get violated in the box then I wouldn’t spend time worrying about it,” he stressed.

MU since being trained by Solskjaer in December 2018 has received 42 penalties. Meanwhile, Liverpool in the same period only received 19 penalties.

However, Klopp’s accusations to MU are not entirely true. The reason is, Liverpool have received 46 penalties since Klopp joined the Reds in 2015.

This fact proves that the number of Liverpool penalties under Klopp are still more than MU with Solskjaer. In the Premier League this season, the number of penalties for Manchester United with Liverpool is actually also slightly different. MU received six penalties, while Liverpool five.
