Second and third place for Loch and Jörg

CHeyenne Loch and Selina Jörg gave the German women snowboarders two more podium positions in the fourth race of the World Cup season. At the parallel slalom in Bad Gastein / Austria, the 26-year-old Loch surprised in second place, only in the final did she lose to the formally strong Russian Sofia Nadyrschina.

For Loch (Schliersee), which is often plagued by injuries, it was the best placement of their career after three third places. World champion Selina Jörg (Sonthofen), who failed in the semifinals against Nadyrschina, won the small final and secured her third podium this winter.

After an excellent start to the season, Ramona Hofmeister (Bischofswiesen) had an unpleasant surprise. The 24-year-old overall World Cup winner, who had finished second, first and third in the previous three races, failed in the round of 16 against Michelle Dekker from the Netherlands and finished eleventh.

Stefan Baumeister (Aising-Pang) also retired in the round of 16 and ended up in ninth place. The two-time World Cup third party celebrated his third and so far last World Cup victory in Bad Gastein last year. It was won by the Italian Aaron March because the run of the final winner Dimitri Loginow from Russia was no longer counted.
