Rio Ferdinand praised Scott McTominay. According to him, McTominay will be an important player at Manchester United.
In the third round of the FA Cup at Old Trafford, Sunday (10/1/2021), MU won 1-0 over Watford. Scott McTominay became the winner with a goal he scored in the fifth minute.
Alex Telles’ corner bait converted into a goal by McTominay. He made a header that Watford goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann could not reach.
One such goal made Manchester United stepping into the next round of the FA Cup.

Scott McTominay played the full 90 minutes in the match. Surprisingly, he had the captain’s armband even though there were senior players like Juan Mata.
McTominay is plotted as a defensive midfielder. His job is to maintain the balance of the team, as well as being the first defensive wall.
The football pundit who is also a former Manchester United player, Rio Ferdinand, praised Scott McTominay’s performance. For him, the Scottish player will be an important figure on the field for the Red Devils!
“He played with all his heart and gave everything on the pitch,” said Ferdinand as reported BT Sport.
“Not only football, but mental capacity. Scott McTominay is fully responsible as captain and I am sure one day he will be an important player for United,” he added.

Scott McTominay is a graduate of the Manchester United academy. He broke into the main squad in 2017.
The 24-year-old player has so far packed 106 appearances in all competitions with United. Gradually, he proved himself worthy of being a capable central midfielder.
“Scott McTominay continues to improve. He doesn’t do a lot of tricks or stuff, but he has intensity and hard work,” concluded Ferdinand.
