Santa Fe announced the signing of Michael Rangel, former America and Junior

When Santa Fe had a pale transfer market thinking about the Copa Libertadores and the Betplay League 2021, surprised this Thursday by announcing the signing of striker Michael Rangel, who was in Junior de Barranquilla with a few minutes and looking for continuity in national football.

Michael Rangel reached his highest football point at the end of 2019 when he became the scorer of the Colombian rental and was crowned champion of the FPC with América de Cali in the remembered final against Junior. In June, he had to buy the scarlet, but citing the crisis, Tulio Gómez did not cancel the million dollars and returned to the ‘shark’ painting.

In Junior he did not have continuity with Comesaña or Amaranto Perea beyond some sporadic appearances, so in the ‘shark’ they sought to find another club for him. There was talk of offers abroad and Atlético Nacional with Guimaraes, but the big surprise was given by Santa Fe announcing his signing.

Michael Rangel arrives in Santa Fe for a year on loan condition and with a purchase option which would also be close to the million dollars that at the time they asked América de Cali. In this way, the forward continues his streak of playing in big teams like Nacional, Junior, América de Cali, Millonarios and Santa Fe.

Rangel returns to Santa Fe after six years. In 2014 he was champion of the League by Gustavo Costas and he was the scorer of the Colombia Cup in which the capital’s team was runner-up.
