The president of the Spanish Football Federation (FEF), Luis Rubiales, will continue to be quarantined, after testing positive for covid-19. He suspended his activity last weekend and did not attend the finals of the Spanish men’s and women’s Super Cups, due to having been in contact with a federative worker who tested positive.

Despite the fact that the antigen and PCR tests carried out, both before and immediately after learning of this circumstance were negative, in the test carried out 72 hours after contact according to health protocols, the president has tested positive.

Both Rubiales and the employees closest to the worker who initially tested positive always strictly maintained security and protection measures at all times, as established by health protocols. He remains asymptomatic and is well at the moment.
