Repsol Honda’s surprise made Pol Espargaro want to cry

Andorra

Pol Espargaro received a surprise from Repsol Honda. The MotoGP rider from Spain was even made to almost cry for it.

Espargaro will become Honda’s new rider in MotoGP 2021. He replaces Alex Marquez, to meet Marc Marquez.

The 29-year-old racer also broke his contract with KTM as of January 1, 2021. At that time, Repsol Honda immediately gave him a surprise.

In the video uploaded by Repsol Honda, the Japanese manufacturer’s main team gave Pol Espargaro a gift. Of course, the prize is an RC213V motor.

The Honda motorbike was given the number 44. Espargaro’s new ride was placed at his residence while the owner was exercising in the morning.

Arriving home, Espargaro saw a motorbike draped on his balcony. When it was opened, it appeared RC213V number 44 which he would ride in MotoGP 2021.

“I want to cry. Wow, I never imagined it. This is crazy,” Espargaro said in the video.

“I want to keep it forever,” he explained.

Last season, Espargaro performed well with KTM. He can win five podiums, and end MotoGP 2020 in fifth place in the riders’ standings.

Espargaro, who made his MotoGP debut with Yamaha in 2014, admits joining Honda had been his desire for a long time. When he saw his number 44 emblazoned on his Repsol Honda RC213V, he was delighted to not play.

“This number looks great. I’m working really hard to see the number here. It’s incredible. This bike, with its colors, is always the main rival. This is the opponent we are aiming for.”

“I have been dreaming of this for a long time, wearing this color and having this motor by my side. I will probably sleep wearing it,” joked Pol Espargaro.
